Tell us who you are, what brought you here, and what your gateway anime was.

Mine was Dragon Ball Z on YTV after school. I did not understand what was happening. I did not care. Goku was fighting someone and it was taking multiple episodes and somehow that was the most compelling television I had ever seen.

Then came Sailor Moon in the same block, which I watched and pretended not to at school, and then Cardcaptors in the heavily edited Nelvana dub that I only found out years later had been substantially altered.

Then a friend showed up at school with a burned CD of Naruto fansubs and everything changed.

Name is Systemsweep, been watching anime since 1999. First show was Sailor Moon on YTV, got hooked on DBZ after that. Still have some old fansub CDs somewhere.

Seriously. Cardcaptors, Medabots, Beyblade. Different era entirely.

Never had YTV, was all about Cartoon Network Toonami. That is where I got the Naruto bug.

Toonami was its own thing for sure. The robots, the atmosphere. Nobody does that anymore.
