Kept a reliable weekly Wednesday release schedule fans structured their viewing around, grabbing his version first for speed and following up with ANBU's higher-quality release over the weekend. A single episode 75 release reportedly drew close to 9,600 simultaneous downloaders on BitTorrent. Not the polished option, but the fastest, and respected for it.
Signature style
A one-man operation, confirmed directly by his own fanbase discussing it in real time on AnimeSuki forums in April 2004. Ran his own site at bakasan.net with a countdown clock and downloadable subtitle scripts, distributed via BitTorrent, and accepted PayPal donations. Fast enough that a single torrent for one episode pulled nearly 9,600 downloaders working off just one seed.
