Details & Synopsis
Naruto Uzumaki was born on the night the Fourth Hokage sealed the Nine-Tailed Fox inside him to save the village. The village watched the demon go in. It forgot to tell the child what it had done to him. What followed was twelve years of a boy growing up knowing he was hated and not knowing why, loud, relentless, failing every test, eating ramen alone, until the day he graduated dead last from the Academy and became a ninja anyway through sheer refusal to stay down.
That is the premise. What the series becomes is something larger.
Naruto ran for 220 episodes on TV Tokyo from 2002 to 2007, produced by Studio Pierrot from Masashi Kishimoto's manga. The Chunin Exam arc is one of the great tournament sequences in shonen history. Naruto vs. Neji is a thesis statement about fate and effort that the show earns through fifty episodes of buildup before it delivers. The Sasuke Retrieval arc ends on failure, the hero does not get his friend back, does not keep his promise, is found in the dirt by Kakashi while Sasuke walks away, and that failure is the most radical thing a shonen series had done to its protagonist in years.
In the West, Cartoon Network aired a version. That version was not this. The broadcast cut removed blood, altered dialogue, and softened the things the show was specifically built around. The fansub community knew it immediately. ANBU-AonE, the result of a merger between two of the era's most respected groups, became the definitive answer. Their karaoke openings. Their translation fidelity. The weekly releases that IRC rooms and BitTorrent trackers distributed before streaming existed as a concept. Before Crunchyroll. Before legal alternatives. Before anyone in the industry believed Western audiences would watch anime subtitled in volume.
This archive holds the complete ANBU-AonE fansub run, all 220 episodes, the version the community actually watched, the version that built the Western Naruto fandom from the ground up. Not the broadcast. Not the remaster. The original release, as it was distributed, as it was intended.
This is provenance. This is the record.

Clan Directory

Archival Overview

Leaf Founders & Allied Lineages

A structural registry of the noble families, secret technique (Hiden) dynasties, and hereditary bloodlines (Kekkei Genkai) that comprise the military power of Konohagakure and surrounding shinobi nations. Shared across Part I and Shippuden eras.

Uchiha Clan

Fire Release · Sharingan Lineage · Curse of Hatred
Ancestral descendants of Indra Ōtsutsuki who co-founded the Hidden Leaf alongside the Senju. Renowned for supreme Fire Release mastery and the Sharingan Kekkei Genkai, a doujutsu awakened through intense emotional trauma. Operating as Konoha's internal police force, the clan's history is defined by the "Curse of Hatred," a psychological vulnerability where intense love turns into overwhelming dark chakra.

Senju Clan

Will of Fire · Sage Life Force · Wood Release
Ancestral descendants of Asura Ōtsutsuki and historical rivals to the Uchiha. Under Hashirama Senju (First Hokage), they pioneered the Hidden Village system. Possessing extraordinary physical vitality and massive chakra reserves, the Senju produced three Hokage and introduced the "Will of Fire" philosophy that governs Leaf ideology.

Hyūga Clan

Byakugan · Gentle Fist · Main vs. Branch System
The oldest standing noble family in Konoha, tracing lineage to Hamura Ōtsutsuki. Bearers of the Byakugan, granting near-360 degree vision and X-ray perception of the Chakra Pathway System. To protect the eyes from foreign thieves, the clan operates under a rigid caste hierarchy: the Main House enforces total control over the Branch House using the lethal "Cursed Seal of the Caged Bird."

Uzumaki Clan

Uzushiogakure · Fūinjutsu Specialists · Longevity
Distant blood relatives of the Senju hailing from the destroyed Village Hidden in the Whirling Tides. Recognized by vibrant red hair, immense physical stamina, and unmatched mastery of complex sealing arts (Fūinjutsu). Because their living life force was so potent, Uzumaki clan members were historically chosen as the primary jinchūriki vessels for the Nine-Tails.

The Ancestral Triad Bond

Generational Formation

For generations, the Nara, Yamanaka, and Akimichi clans have maintained an ironclad military pact. Formations are marked by matching earrings handed down by the Sarutobi clan, cementing a tactical synergy where Nara intelligence, Yamanaka sensory lock, and Akimichi raw physical force execute flawless battlefield control.

Nara Clan

Shadow Manipulation · Deer Guardians · Tactical Minds
A high-intelligence clan specializing in Yin Release Hiden arts that manipulate physical shadows to bind and control target motor functions (Shadow Possession Jutsu). Maintains exclusive stewardship over the Nara Forest, cultivating medical herbs and raising sacred deer utilized in high-tier Leaf pharmaceuticals.

Yamanaka Clan

Mind-Body Transmission · Intelligence Unit · Flower Shop
Spiritual manipulation specialists capable of projecting consciousness into targets for espionage or psychological warfare (Mind Transfer Jutsu). The clan acts as the backbone of Konoha's Analysis and Telepathic Intelligence Division while operating a local flower shop as a civilian front.

Akimichi Clan

Calorie Control · Size Expansion · Three Colored Pills
Physically formidable clan using Yang Release Hiden arts to convert body calories directly into raw chakra. Masters of anatomical size manipulation (Multi-Size Jutsu). In critical battles, members utilize secret ancestral Three Colored Pills (Spinach, Curry, Red Pepper) to force extreme chakra conversion at severe biological risk.

Aburame Clan

Kikaichū Symbiosis · Insect Manipulation · Stealth Ops
A quiet, highly analytical clan that enters a biological pact with parasitic destruction bugs (Kikaichū) at birth. The insects live inside the practitioner's body beneath the skin, feeding on chakra in exchange for acting as living shields, tracking devices, and lethal chakra-draining swarms.

Inuzuka Clan

Ninken Partners · Beast-Human Combat · Sensory Tracking
Wild, feral combat specialists who breed and bond with loyal canine companions (Ninken) from childhood. Combining heightened scent perception with beast-human transformation jutsu, the Inuzuka excel in high-speed pursuit, scouting, and claw-based physical assault.

Sarutobi Clan

Fire Release Mastery · Monkey Summoning · Political Weight
An influential founding ally family known for exceptional Fire Release proficiency and deep devotion to the Will of Fire. Produced the Third Hokage (Hiruzen Sarutobi) and maintains sacred contracts with the Monkey King summons.

Hatake Clan

White Light Blade · Small Population · Elite Trackers
A small but legendary family line in Konoha famed for exceptional martial genius and tactical adaptability. Renowned for their heirloom chakra saber (the White Light Chakra Blade) and natural affinity for high-level elemental manipulation, producing Sakumo (The White Fang) and Kakashi.

Shimura Clan

Founding Allies · Root Black Ops · Political Hawk
One of the earliest noble families to align with the Senju and Uchiha during the creation of Konohagakure. Led historically by Danzō Shimura, the clan became synonymous with covert intelligence, state security, and the creation of Root, the secret unsanctioned branch of ANBU.

Kurama Clan (Anime-Only Hiden)

Genjutsu Mastermind · Physical Realization · Unstable Monster
An ancient Konoha family whose members possess an incredible Hiden talent for Genjutsu so absolute that the target's brain converts mental damage into physical reality. The clan's tragedy lies in the "Id", a monstrous, parasitic second personality born from unreleased chakra (seen in Yakumo Kurama).

Kaguya Clan (Hidden Mist)

Shikotsumyaku · Bone Manipulation · Suicidal Bloodlust
An extinct, battle-obsessed clan from the Land of Waves possessing the Shikotsumyaku Kekkei Genkai, allowing members to freely manipulate their own bone density, growth, and skeletal structure into weapons. Completely wiped themselves out in an unprovoked, suicidal assault against the Mist Village.

Yuki Clan (Hidden Mist)

Hyōton (Ice Release) · Elemental Fusion · War Refugees
A persecuted bloodline from the Land of Water possessing the Ice Release Kekkei Genkai (combining Water and Wind natures). Following the bloody Mist civil wars, bloodline users were feared and hunted as demons, forcing surviving members like Haku to hide their heritage in poverty.

Kazekage Lineage (Hidden Sand)

Magnet Release · Iron Sand · Desert Leadership
The royal political bloodline of Sunagakure that produced the Third, Fourth (Rasa), and Fifth Kazekage (Gaara), along with Temari and Kankurō. Renowned for mastering electromagnetic Hiden styles and Magnet Release Kekkei Genkai to control heavy metallic sand in desert combat.

Hōzuki Clan (Hidden Mist)

Hydrification Technique · Liquid Body · Seven Swordsmen
A prominent family from Kirigakure possessing the secret Hydrification Technique (Suika no Jutsu), which allows members to liquefy their physical body at will. Produces elite warriors like Suigetsu and Mangetsu who traditionally master the Seven Ninja Swords of the Mist.

Kamizuru Clan (Hidden Stone)

Beekeeping Hiden · Bee Swarms · Aburame Rivals
An ancient clan from Iwagakure that specializes in manipulating living bees and honeycombs using specialized chakra paste. Historically famed for invading the Land of Fire, where they fought a legendary border war against the Leaf's Aburame clan.

Karatachi Clan (Hidden Mist)

Three-Tails Jinchūriki · Bloody Mist Reign · Yagura Lineage
An influential bloodline from Kirigakure that shaped the dark history of the Mist Village. Produced Yagura Karatachi (the Fourth Mizukage and Three-Tails jinchūriki), whose tyrannical rule under Obito's genjutsu control earned Kirigakure its infamous "Bloody Mist" moniker.

Yotsuki Clan (Hidden Cloud)

Ironclad Loyalty · Lightning Armor · Raikage Retainers
One of Kumogakure's foundational families, celebrated for absolute loyalty to the village. Members excel in high-output Lightning Release and heavy taijutsu, often serving as personal bodyguards and enforcers to the reigning Raikage.

Ōtsutsuki Clan

SPOILER! Chakra Ancestors · God Tree Parasites · Divine Dōjutsu
An interdimensional alien species of celestial parasites who travel across worlds planting God Trees to absorb planetary chakra. As the primordial progenitor of all terrestrial shinobi, the clan's bloodline split into the Uchiha, Senju, Hyūga, Uzumaki, and Kaguya clans.

Lee & Guy Lineage (Eight Gates Tradition)

Zero Ninjutsu · Pure Discipline · Green Beast Legacy
While not an aristocratic bloodline, Might Duy, Might Guy, and Rock Lee form a distinct physical tradition within Konoha. Defined by an inability or refusal to use standard Ninjutsu/Genjutsu, this school substitutes chakra weaving with grueling physical conditioning to master the forbidden Eight Inner Gates.

Jūgo's Clan (Origin of Curse Marks)

Natural Senjutsu Absorption · Berserk Mutation · Enzyme Source
An unnamed, feral clan possessing an involuntary biological mutation that continuously absorbs Natural Energy from the environment. Lacking the training to balance Sage Chakra, members experience violent, psychotic fits of rage, the exact enzyme source Orochimaru harvested to create his Curse Seals.
