What's Next: The Great Frame Clean-Up

Having 38,771 raw images is a massive feat, but we aren't done yet. Over the coming weeks, the entire gallery will go through a rigorous cleaning protocol:

• Filtering Duplicates — Removing identical hold-frames and static shots.
• Trimming Transitions — Cleaning out "in-between" blurs and scene fade-outs.
• OP/ED Scrubbing — Stripping out repeated opening/ending credits to keep episode galleries focused purely on canonical story frames.

Where it came from

We follow Shotaro Kaneda and his bosozoku bike gang, the Capsules, as they tear through the ruined highways of Old Tokyo, trading chain blows and pipe strikes with the rival Clowns syndicate. Among them is Tetsuo Shima - younger, insecure, desperate to prove he does not need Kaneda's protection, and completely unaware that he is about to collide headfirst with a government military secret.

When Tetsuo's bike slams into Takashi (#27), a runaway Esper child with the face of an old man, the impact forcibly unlocks Tetsuo's dormant psionic potential. What follows is not a traditional superhero awakening. It is a terrifying, uncontrollable descent into godhood.

New episodes unlock 4 at a time each week, and episodes 1 through 4 are live right now. If you want to marathon this one, you're going to have to earn the patience the same way Goku earned Instant Transmission: slowly, and with some grumbling along the way.

New Site Section: Anime / LORE

This morning the final file pass cleared the staging directory. 60,441 uncompressed screencaps, all 291 episodes of Dragon Ball Z, sourced entirely from the Seed of Might remaster — as far as we can tell, the first complete screencap gallery this remaster has gotten anywhere. That's not a small claim. SoM has quietly become the way this show is supposed to look, and until now nobody had actually sat down and documented all 291 episodes of it, frame by frame.

Two hundred captures an episode, on average, pulled frame-by-frame across the full runtime, not a handful of random highlight shots, but a genuine full-episode sweep. A background layout shift, an aura line, a speed transition that only exists for a few frames; it's all in here because the process didn't skip anything.

A note on where things stand: the galleries still need a cleanup pass. I'm building tooling now to work through them properly, so if a frame looks rough here and there, duplicates or between frames, that's why it's coming. The collection itself is done. The polish is next.

All 291 episodes are up now. This is the Dragon Ball Z that's actually worth looking at.
