TAKASHI YAMAZAKI

One of Sakura's classmates and the undisputed champion of saying something ridiculous with such calm authority that somebody almost believes him. Yamazaki can invent a fake historical explanation for practically any subject, often starting with a confident claim about how something was done in ancient times. Chiharu has known him long enough to recognize the warning signs and regularly shuts the performance down. His tall tales are a small recurring joke, but they give Sakura's school life exactly the kind of ordinary friend-group texture that keeps the series from becoming nothing but magic.
