Spike Spiegel vs. Asimov Solensan
Session 1 (Asteroid Blues) · Tijuana Asteroid Outpost · Tragic Target Loss
Spike tracked Asimov Solensan, an escaped Syndicate runner who stole a supply of
Red Eye and injected high doses to evade capture. Spike deployed Bruce Lee-inspired Jeet Kune Do principles, using fluid movement to deflect Asimov's frantic, drug-fueled strikes.
The Breakdown
Asimov's body reached a fatal Red Eye overdose threshold. Cornered by ISSP police cruisers on the highway, Asimov's lover Katerina shot him in the head before driving their craft straight into military blockade fire.

Spike Spiegel vs. Abdul Hakim
Session 2 (Stray Dog Strut) · Mars Central Park · Inconclusive / Police Intervention
Spike tracked giant bounty target Abdul Hakim through a crowded market after Hakim stole a bio-engineered "data dog" (Ein) from a secret lab. Spike engaged Hakim in close-quarters hand-to-hand combat.
The Breakdown
Spike used fluid Jeet Kune Do footwork and kinetic trapping to redirect Hakim's heavy jabs. The brawl spilled into a high-speed vehicle chase before police sirens forced both men to scatter, leaving Ein in Spike's hands.

Spike Spiegel vs. Vicious (Cathedral Showdown)
SPOILER!
Session 5 (Ballad of Fallen Angels) · Tier Cathedral · Tactical Defeat (Spike Hospitalized)
Spike invaded Tier Cathedral alone to confront Vicious after Vicious murdered Mao Yenrai. Spike engaged Vicious with his Jericho 941 R pistol against Vicious's katana, trading gunfire for sword slashes across stained-glass windows.
The Breakdown
Vicious disarmed Spike, threw him through the high cathedral window, and dropped a live grenade. Spike survived the fall only due to Jet's emergency rescue, falling into a multi-day coma.

Spike Spiegel vs. Wen (The Immortal Child)
SPOILER!
Session 6 (Sympathy for the Devil) · Abandoned Cathedral · Decisive Spike Victory
Spike investigated an immortal child named Wen whose body was frozen in time by residual energy from the
Astral Gate explosion 50 years prior. Normal firearms and physical attacks caused zero damage to Wen's un-aging cell matrix.
The Breakdown
Spike extracted a rare piece of irradiated gate stone (Zircon stone) and ground it into a single custom bullet. Loading the projectile into his Jericho 941, Spike fired through Wen's harmonica, shattering his temporal immunity and allowing Wen to finally age and die.

Spike Spiegel vs. Gren & Vicious
SPOILER!
Sessions 12–13 (Jupiter Jazz) · Blue Crow Club / Callisto Rooftops · Tactical Draw
Spike traveled to the frozen moon
Callisto searching for Julia, instead stumbling into a trap set by Vicious involving military veteran Gren and a rogue
Red Eye trade.
The Breakdown
A three-way shootout erupted across snowy alleyways and rooftops. Spike engaged Vicious mid-air before Gren's armed ship intervened. Gren mortally wounded Vicious's craft while Spike executed a high-G dogfight in his Swordfish II to disable Gren's vessel before Gren succumbed to his wounds.

Spike Spiegel vs. Pierrot Le Fou (Mad Pierrot)
SPOILER!
Session 20 (Pierrot Le Fou) · Space Land Amusement Park · Spike Pyrrhic Victory
Spike confronted Mad Pierrot (Tongpu), a genetically engineered lab weapon possessing an internal anti-bullet forcefield and floating flight capabilities. Spike's bullets and throwing knives bounced uselessly off Pierrot's barrier.
The Breakdown
Pierrot cornered Spike on a mechanical parade float. When a giant animatronic mascot cat's glowing eyes triggered Pierrot's buried childhood laboratory trauma, Pierrot panicked and froze, allowing Spike to throw a throwing knife into Pierrot's leg before Pierrot was crushed by a parade robot foot.

Spike Spiegel vs. Cowboy Andy
Session 22 (Cowboy Funk) · High-Rise Elevator & Skyscraper Dome · Spike Victory (Andy Retires)
Spike repeatedly clashed with Andy Von De Oniyate, a wealthy, eccentric bounty hunter who dressed as an 1800s Western cowboy and rode a horse inside modern skyscrapers while chasing the Teddy Bomber.
The Breakdown
Their petty personal rivalry climaxed in a brutal, mirror-match fistfight inside an elevator shaft and atop a skyscraper dome. Spike used precise JKD counter-strikes to break Andy's wild revolver stance, forcing Andy to admit defeat and trade his cowboy hat for a samurai outfit.
Spike Spiegel
Spike Spiegel vs. Vincent Volaju
SPOILER!
The Movie (Knockin' on Heaven's Door) · Titan Tower / Monorail · Spike Victory
Spike engaged Vincent Volaju, an immortal, nerve-agent-enhanced veteran of the
Titan War who launched a nanobot bio-weapon attack on
Mars. They clashed aboard a high-speed monorail and atop Titan Tower.
The Breakdown
Spike relied on high-speed Jeet Kune Do counters and precise body positioning to match Vincent's military knife strikes. Spike disarmed Vincent while Electra released the airborne anti-nanobot vaccine via rain, allowing Vincent to find peace as he succumbed to his past.
Spike Spiegel
Spike Spiegel vs. Lin & Syndicate Death Squad
SPOILER!
Session 25 (The Real Folk Blues Part I) · Mars Industrial Docks · Tragic Defeat (Lin KIA)
After Vicious staged his bloody coup against the Elders, Syndicate death squads hunted
Spike and Julia. Spike was ambushed by his former associate Lin, who remained loyal to Vicious despite his respect for Spike.
The Breakdown
Lin shot Spike with a paralyzing tranquilizer dart to take him alive, refusing to let Syndicate hitmen execute him. When rival hitmen opened fire, Lin stepped into the hail of bullets to shield Spike, dying in Spike's arms and driving Spike into his final suicide crusade.

Vicious
Spike Spiegel vs. Vicious & Red Dragon Syndicate
SPOILER!
Session 26 (The Real Folk Blues Part II) · Red Dragon Headquarters · Final Duel
Following Julia's death, Spike leaves
the Bebop and launches a solo assault on the
Red Dragon headquarters. He fights his way through the organization until he reaches Vicious.
The Breakdown
Spike and Vicious exchange their final attacks at close range. Vicious falls. Spike descends the staircase, raises a finger like a gun, says "Bang," and collapses.
WHY IT MATTERS:
The television series ends on the image rather than a clinical status report. The point is that Spike finally stops postponing the confrontation he has been carrying since before the Bebop.
