ZAFT's most dangerous field commander turns out to be a clone of Mu's own father, engineered and discarded, which is exactly why he and Mu share an inexplicable extrasensory awareness of each other on the battlefield long before either of them understands why. His endgame isn't victory for ZAFT, it's human extinction dressed up as a cause either side would recognize.
