He spends the early arcs hunting for a weapon of pure mass destruction, furious that his father left him the Tenseiga—a sword that cannot kill, but can only resurrect the dead—until an encounter with a mute human orphan girl named Rin begins to slowly thaw his icy, planet-shattering ego.

The Breakdown
Sesshomaru unleashed Bakusaiga to disintegrate Naraku's flesh barrier, preventing regeneration. Inuyasha struck with Meido Zangetsuha, tearing Naraku's body into the underworld while Kagome fired a sacred arrow through the heart of the Shikon Jewel, purifying Naraku's soul forever.
