Details & Synopsis
Naruto Uzumaki was born on the night the Fourth Hokage sealed the Nine-Tailed Fox inside him to save the village. The village watched the demon go in. It forgot to tell the child what it had done to him. What followed was twelve years of a boy growing up knowing he was hated and not knowing why, loud, relentless, failing every test, eating ramen alone, until the day he graduated dead last from the Academy and became a ninja anyway through sheer refusal to stay down.
That is the premise. What the series becomes is something larger.
Naruto ran for 220 episodes on TV Tokyo from 2002 to 2007, produced by Studio Pierrot from Masashi Kishimoto's manga. The Chunin Exam arc is one of the great tournament sequences in shonen history. Naruto vs. Neji is a thesis statement about fate and effort that the show earns through fifty episodes of buildup before it delivers. The Sasuke Retrieval arc ends on failure, the hero does not get his friend back, does not keep his promise, is found in the dirt by Kakashi while Sasuke walks away, and that failure is the most radical thing a shonen series had done to its protagonist in years.
In the West, Cartoon Network aired a version. That version was not this. The broadcast cut removed blood, altered dialogue, and softened the things the show was specifically built around. The fansub community knew it immediately. ANBU-AonE, the result of a merger between two of the era's most respected groups, became the definitive answer. Their karaoke openings. Their translation fidelity. The weekly releases that IRC rooms and BitTorrent trackers distributed before streaming existed as a concept. Before Crunchyroll. Before legal alternatives. Before anyone in the industry believed Western audiences would watch anime subtitled in volume.
This archive holds the complete ANBU-AonE fansub run, all 220 episodes, the version the community actually watched, the version that built the Western Naruto fandom from the ground up. Not the broadcast. Not the remaster. The original release, as it was distributed, as it was intended.
This is provenance. This is the record.

War Chronicles

Chronology of Shinobi Conflict

The Cycles of Global Warfare

A comprehensive historical ledger detailing the major military conflicts that shaped the geopolitics of the Five Great Shinobi Nations. Before the Hidden Village system, war was an unorganized business of mercenary clans; after the villages formed, war became a industrial cycle of international attrition.

1. Warring States Period (Sengoku Era)

Pre-Village Era · Clan Mercenary System

A brutal era predating the Hidden Villages where individual ninja clans (Uchiha, Senju, Hyūga, Sarutobi) operated as mercenary contractors for hire. Average child lifespan dropped below twelve years as kids were forced onto active battlefields. Ended when Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha formed an alliance to create Konohagakure, launching the One-Village-Per-Country political model across the globe.

2. First Great Shinobi World War

Resource Scramble · Fall of First Generation Kage

Triggered shortly after Hashirama Senju's death as rival nations scrambled for territory, resources, and Tailed Beast leverage. Characterized by brutal guerrilla warfare and high-level casualties, culminating in the deaths of Tobirama Senju (Second Hokage) against Kumogakure's Kinkaku Force, and the eventual signing of the first global peace armistice.

3. Second Great Shinobi World War

Amegakure Warzone · Rise of the Sannin

Driven by economic disparity between the Five Nations, forcing major military powers to turn minor buffer states like Amegakure (Land of Rain) into a continuous, devastated warzone. Historical milestones: Hanzō of the Salamander bestows the "Legendary Sannin" title upon Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru; Tsunade develops modern medical-ninja battlefield protocols; and the tragic creation of the original Akatsuki under Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan.

4. Third Great Shinobi World War

Supply Line Warfare · Kannabi Bridge · Yellow Flash

A war of border attrition that pushed the Great Nations to military collapse, forcing young Genin onto front lines. Defined by Iwagakure's massive invasion of the Land of Fire, halted only when Minato Namikaze destroyed the Kannabi Bridge supply depot. Major fallout: Obito Uchiha's presumed death and Sharingan gift to Kakashi, Minato's "Flee-on-Sight" reputation, and the political rise of the Fourth Hokage.

Annihilation of Uzushiogakure

Pre-Second War · Eradication of the Uzumaki Homeland
Fearing the terrifying potential of the Uzumaki clan's advanced sealing arts (Fūinjutsu) and massive physical life force, an alliance of stealth nations executed a surprise, total-annihilation raid on Uzushiogakure, wiping the nation off the map and leaving surviving Uzumaki scattered worldwide as refugees.

The Nine-Tails Attack on Konoha

October 10th Calamity · Minato's Sacrifice
A catastrophic night attack orchestrated by the masked man (Obito) who extracted Kurama from Kushina Uzumaki during childbirth. The Nine-Tails laid waste to central Konoha until the Fourth Hokage sealed it into newborn Naruto via the Reaper Death Seal. The tragedy fueled internal Leaf paranoia, directly causing the quarantine and eventual massacre of the Uchiha clan.
