Communicates in panda form via handwritten signs. Irresponsible, self-serving, made approximately every wrong parenting decision available to him including several he had to invent. Sold Ranma for food on multiple occasions when Ranma was small. Arranged the engagement to Akane without consulting anyone. Deeply invested in the concept of martial arts honor while personally embodying almost none of it. The show treats him as a comedy character and also as a completely accurate portrait of a certain kind of father.
