What changed
The antagonist the group met as a merchant heir now has imperial authority. The personal nuisance from Kogakyo becomes the person capable of rewriting the relationship between villages, samurai and Nobuseri.
The new ruler publicly embraces the idea of samurai protecting villages, using the Seven of Kanna as a model.
Why it matters
The heroes' victory can be copied as an image while the reasons they fought are ignored. Samurai 7 understands that a government can absorb the appearance of resistance without accepting its values.
