SPINEL SUN SPOILER!

A magical guardian created by Eriol as a counterpart to Cerberus. In his small false form Spinel looks like a dark winged cat and would strongly prefer to spend his time reading quietly, which becomes difficult whenever Nakuru decides he needs to participate in whatever nonsense she has discovered. He is intelligent, reserved and painfully easy for Kero to annoy. Like Cerberus, Spinel also possesses a larger true form and substantial magical power, but his role in the Sakura Card arc is mostly to assist Eriol from the shadows until the final confrontation makes the parallel between the two sets of guardians explicit.
