ORSON
OR
Orson is Shiris's quiet traveling companion and one of the most physically dangerous fighters in Parn's extended group. He normally speaks and moves with an almost unnerving restraint, but battle can trigger the berserker spirit Hyuri within him, suppressing fear and emotion while turning him into a relentless combatant. That power makes Orson formidable and also explains much of his distance from the people around him. Shiris understands him better than most and often supplies the emotion he refuses or cannot express himself. During the OVA's later battles, Orson becomes dependable backup for Parn and Kashue, a warrior whose frightening combat state hides a fundamentally gentle and loyal man.

DRAGONS & RELICS OF LODOSS //
Open page →Shooting Star is the fire dragon of Fire Dragon Mountain and one of the few threats in the OVA that makes both sides stop pretending ordinary military strength is enough. Its attacks terrorize Flaim, and even King Kashue treats killing it as a campaign rather than a heroic side quest.
The dragon also guards the chamber containing the Scepter of Domination, which turns Ashram's search for the relic into a collision between Marmo, Flaim and Parn's group. No one defeats Shooting Star alone. The killing blows only become possible after magic, positioning and the three dragon-killing lances create an opening.

Why it matters
Shooting Star makes the Scepter feel earned as a legendary relic. Before anyone can fight over who deserves it, they have to survive the creature guarding it.
The party learns that Shooting Star cannot be treated like an oversized monster. The plan at Fire Dragon Mountain depends on three sacred lances said to be capable of killing the dragon. Orson lands the first crucial strike, and Kashue and Parn use the remaining weapons once Deedlit's magic and the collapsing battlefield create their chance.
The sequence is one of the clearest examples of Lodoss refusing to let a single hero solve a legendary threat. Kashue has experience, Parn has nerve, Deedlit has magic, Orson provides the first opening, and even Ashram's presence changes how Shooting Star moves.

Why it worked
The dragon is defeated by a chain of contributions. Remove any one of them and the 'legendary weapon' is just a spear nobody gets close enough to use.
RECORD OF LODOSS WAR COMBAT LEDGER //
Open page →The fight with Shooting Star forces enemies and allies into the same collapsing space. Ashram wants the Scepter. Kashue wants the dragon dead. Parn wants to stop both a disaster in Flaim and Marmo's search for greater power. Pirotess and Deedlit are still watching each other even while everyone is trying not to burn alive.
Orson lands the first lance. Deedlit's magic helps create the opening for the remaining strikes. Kashue and Parn finish the job while the mountain breaks apart around them.

The Breakdown
Nobody solos the dragon. The victory is logistics, courage, magic and timing stacked together. It is one of the best examples in the OVA of a legendary monster actually requiring a party.
