Where Solomon represents the possibility of breaking free from Diva's orbit, Amshel represents total devotion to it. Cold, controlled, fanatical in the specific way that absolute ideological commitment produces. He is the practical villain of Blood+, the one making the decisions that the other chevaliers carry out, and the show is not interested in softening him. He is what he is completely.
