Singer. Priss and the Replicants play bars in MegaTokyo and she writes songs about a city that eats people. Off the stage she rides hard, fights harder, and treats most human interaction as an obstacle to get through. The most aggressive of the Knight Sabers and the most obviously damaged. She has personal reasons for what she does in that hardsuit that go beyond Sylia's money and the city's boomer problem. The music and the violence come from the same place in her. One of the great protagonists of 1980s anime and the character Bubblegum Crisis was built to showcase.

Sylvie, Anri and the other 33-S women flee Genaros because they want to be free. Three of them die making the escape possible. Sylvie reaches Earth, befriends Priss and then kills people for blood because the wounded Anri cannot survive without it.
Why it matters
The horror of "Moonlight Rambler" is not that a machine unexpectedly developed feelings. The 33-S women already behave like people with friendship, fear, loyalty and a desire not to be owned. Boomers are a product class, not one kind of robot, and the crisis comes from a world that built these women for use and still expects that purpose to settle what they are.
D.D. Fail-Safe · No Clean Choice
Once the D.D. goes out of control, stopping the machine means stopping Sylvie with it. Priss does what the city needs and then spends "Red Eyes" unable to accept the emotional shortcut that this was simply the destruction of a malfunctioning Boomer.
What changed
Priss quits the Knight Sabers because Sylvie's death matters to her as the death of a friend. Sylia can explain why there was no other choice, but explanation does not erase grief.
