AO

Ao is a veteran sensor from the Hidden Mist and one of Mei Terumi's closest advisers at the Five Kage Summit. He carries a transplanted Byakugan taken from a Hyuga during an earlier war, making him a living reminder that the great villages were killing one another long before the alliance became necessary. Ao uses the eye to read chakra with unusual precision. That becomes crucial at the summit when he recognizes that Danzo is using Shisui Uchiha's stolen Sharingan to manipulate Mifune's judgment. Ao is stern, suspicious and experienced enough to assume political meetings can become battlefields without warning. His presence beside Mei also helps show how different the Mist has become from the era that produced men like Zabuza and Kisame.
