MIFUNE

Mifune is the general of the samurai who rule the neutral Land of Iron and the host of the Five Kage Summit. In a world dominated by ninjutsu, his strength comes from swordsmanship, discipline and iaido fast enough to pressure a shinobi before hand signs can be completed. That makes him more than a ceremonial chairman when the summit collapses into violence. Mifune later leads the Samurai Division of the Allied Shinobi Forces during the Fourth Shinobi World War. His confrontation with the reanimated Hanzo carries decades of history, because Hanzo once defeated and spared him after recognizing his conviction. Their rematch lets Mifune demonstrate that the ideals Hanzo abandoned were not naive simply because the world became crueler.
