With Kakashi immobilized, Naruto and Sasuke execute a brilliant tactical combination: Sasuke throws a Demon Wind Shuriken that Naruto (disguised as a second shuriken via Transformation) releases behind Zabuza, forcing the Demon of the Mist to release his hand from the water sphere.

Kakashi charges the Chidori (Lightning Blade) to end the fight, but Haku leaps in front of the strike, taking the lightning bolt through his heart. Zabuza continues fighting until Naruto's words tear through his mercenary facade, prompting a dying Zabuza to take a kunai in his mouth and slaughter Gatō and his mercenaries.
