Yota's confident best friend and the boy Moemi actually wants to date. Takashi is not a malicious rival; much of the tension comes from the fact that Yota genuinely values his friendship while also envying the ease with which people are drawn to him. His eventual response to Moemi changes the emotional problem Ai and Yota have been avoiding.
