LEORIO PARADINIGHT

A towering, hot-tempered young man in a business suit and tiny sunglasses who carries a switchblade and aggressively claims he only wants to become a Hunter to get filthy, disgustingly rich. While he initially acts as the comic relief of the rookie group, Leorio's loudmouthed materialism is rapidly revealed to be a total front—he actually needs the bottomless wealth of a Hunter License to fund medical school so he can treat impoverished patients for free, a devotion sparked by the tragic death of a childhood friend. He is the fiercely loyal, purely human heart of the crew.
