HISOKA MOROW
HM
An enigmatic, highly dangerous serial killer dressed as a flamboyant court jester who treats the entire Hunter organization like his personal playground. Driven entirely by a gluttonous, borderline-erotic obsession with fighting powerful opponents, Hisoka actively protects Gon and Killua during the exam because he views them as "unripe fruit" that will be infinitely more satisfying to violently slaughter once they grow to their full potential. Wielding his deceptively versatile aura techniques, "Bungee Gum" and "Texture Surprise," he is early shonen's most terrifying, unpredictable monster.

Hisoka wants this fight badly enough that he's willing to wait years for Gon to actually be worth fighting, which tells you more about Hisoka's priorities than any villain monologue could. THE BREAKDOWN: this is less a completed match than a promise the show is setting up to cash in later, and everything Gon learns from Wing between here and Yorknew exists specifically to make that eventual fight mean something.
