KING FAHN SPOILER!

KF

Record of Lodoss War · Supporting / King of Valis and Legendary Hero

The aging King of Valis represents the heroic generation Parn has grown up imagining from a distance. Fahn was one of the Six Heroes who defeated the Demon King, but age has not erased either his strength or the compromises buried beneath his legend. He welcomes Parn after Princess Fianna is rescued and gives the young adventurer a more honest understanding of his father, restoring honor that Parn believed had been lost. Fahn's history with Emperor Beld makes the War of Heroes deeply personal. The two former comrades eventually meet in single combat, and Fahn falls to Beld's Demon Sword. His death closes one era of Lodoss and leaves younger figures like Parn and Kashue to decide what comes next.

Fahn vs. Beld

SPOILER! Open →
Fahn and Beld meet in the center of the War of Heroes with decades of shared history behind the swords. The duel is direct and brutal. Fahn fights as the king defending Valis. Beld fights as the conqueror who believes only one ruler can end Lodoss's cycle of division.

Beld wins. Fahn falls, and for a moment the battlefield seems ready to hand Marmo the future Beld wanted.
The Breakdown
This is not an underdog duel. Both men are legends, but Beld enters stronger and survives the exchange. The larger twist comes afterward, when Karla refuses to let his victory become total control and the war loses both of its old central figures.

Debut: Ep 007 - The War of Heroes

Parn vs. Ashram at Kardis's Altar

SPOILER! Open →
Parn reaches the altar expecting Wagnard to be the final obstacle and instead finds Ashram still standing. The rivalry from the War of Heroes finally gets its uninterrupted rematch while Deedlit is dying nearby and the ritual is coming apart.

Ashram defeats Parn again. The result is important because the OVA does not suddenly make Parn the better swordsman just because he is the protagonist in the last episode. The fight only changes when the mortally wounded Wagnard attacks Ashram, giving Parn the chance to act after both of his enemies collapse.
The Breakdown
Parn does not win the duel. He survives the duel, inherits the moment, and then uses the Holy Sword and Demon Sword together to save Deedlit. The difference matters.

Debut: Ep 013 - Lodoss - The Burning Continent
